Maryam Rajavi: “Iran's regime practically withdraws from the nuclear agreement by abandoning its commitments; it is imperative to activate the compliance mechanism of the Agreement and restore six Security Council resolutions ”

Ms. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Resistance Council of Iran (NCRI), described the Iranian regime's decision not to comply with "restrictions on the number of centrifuges, capacity, percentage and level of enriched uranium and research and development ", in its nuclear program as an effective exit from the nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA).

 Ms. Maryam Rajavi (wife of the founder of NCRI, Massoud Rajavi) stressed the imperative and urgency of activating the verification mechanism and restoring six resolutions of the United Nations Security Council against the regime. He added that the inhuman regime used all the benefits and concessions of the Nuclear Agreement to further export terrorism and war abroad and carries out repression in the country.

The mullahs never stopped their nuclear weapons program despite benefiting from concessions under the Nuclear Agreement. Lack of transparency regarding the possible military dimensions of the regime's nuclear weapons program, work in the secret agency that runs the nuclear weapons program (“Organization for Innovation and Defensive Research”), details of its secret testing facilities ("Center for Research and Expansion of Technologies in Explosions and Impact METFAZ"), are among these activities. In addition, the Iranian regime has not responded to questions from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about the presence of highly enriched uranium materials, nor has it allowed interviews with experts and key officials involved in its nuclear program.
