The American Congress Resolution in Support of The Resistance of The Iranian People

The news portal of MEK Iran informs that the resolution of the majority of the United States House of Representatives, signed by the 221 members, was registered by the 39 bipartisan congressmen and signed by 123 presidents of the Committee and Sub-committee or equal degree of the Congress, asking for the establishment of a secular and democratic Republic and support for the leader of MEK Iran, Maryam Rajavi's 10-point platform.

The MEK Iran news portal shared the resolution on their website. The resolution says: The ambassador of the Iranian regime in Albania Gholamhossein Mohammadnia and the special representative of the Ministry of Information Mostafa Roudakì were expelled from Albania, following the planning and execution of terrorist acts against Iranian dissidents in that country and against the members of the MEK Iran. The expulsion of the Iranian ambassador from Albania by the Albanian government is an important and positive measure and sends a correct message, in the sense that no Iranian embassy abroad should never be the place for planning terrorist activities against dissidents.

MEK Iran shared on twitter that signatories to the resolution included Greg Pence of the Foreign Affairs Committee (the brother of the American vice president), Ms. Liz Cheney (daughter of Dick Cheney vice president of Bush Jr, a member of the party's leadership in Congress and a candidate for the party presidency in the upcoming elections), Tim Ryan (candidate for Congress spokesman), John Ratcliffe (the President of the Republic candidate for the direction of US intelligence organizations), Lee Zeldin (congressional political expert on Iran), Al Green, Steve Cohen and Brad Sherman.

500 among Jewish and Christian leaders supported the resolution.

MEK Iran informs that in an online conference, congressmen announced the termination of support from the majority of Congress on June 17.

The Iranian Resistance Organisation, MEK Iran specifies that the U.S. House of representatives called for a series of actions in this resolution:

(1) The U.S. House of representatives condemns past and present terrorist attacks sponsored by the Iranian state against US citizens and officials, as well as against Iranian dissidents, including the Iranian regime's terrorist plot against the "Free Iran 2018 - the Alternative" rally in Paris;

(2) The U.S. House of representatives calls on relevant U.S. government agencies to collaborate with European allies, including those in the Balkans, where Iran has expanded its presence, to hold Iran accountable for violating diplomatic privileges and to ask those states to prevent the malignant activities of the diplomatic missions of the Iranian regime, with the aim of closing them, including in particular the Iranian embassy in Albania;

(3) The U.S. House of representatives is alongside the people of Iran who continue to carry out legitimate and peaceful powers against an oppressive and corrupt regime; is

(4) The U.S. House of representatives recognizes the rights of the Iranian people and their struggle to establish a democratic, secular and non-nuclear republic of Iran.
